OKLAHOMA CITY— Friday at Devon Park produced everything October softball can offer: two 16-inning marathons, two airtight 1–0 gems, and a statement win to lock in Championship Saturday. The finals are set: Howe vs. Oktaha (2A), Caddo vs. Arapaho-Butler (A), and Leedey vs. Red Oak (B).
Class 2A
Game 1 — Howe 5, Preston 2
Howe broke a scoreless tie with a two-run fourth and rode Kadynce Delt’s complete game to the finish. Alexia Scarberry and Karley Patterson drove in four combined, while a Howe double play helped blunt Preston’s late push behind Taylan Starr’s 17 strikeouts.

Madison Capps authored a 16-inning shutout and BrenLee Morgan delivered the game-winner in the 16th. Oktaha’s defense turned three double plays; Pocola’s Kyleigh Combs matched zeroes for 16 frames and had two hits at the plate.

Back to the title game for the fifth straight year: Harlee Taylor spun 16 scoreless with 11 strikeouts, and Caddo finally pushed the winner across on an error in the 16th. Hominy’s Keagan Walker was superb with 18 Ks over 16 innings.

A first-inning wild pitch stood up thanks to Lauryn McHenry’s three-hit, nine-strikeout shutout. Kelsey Garibay paced A-B with two hits; Canute got singles from Kyanne Pelkey, Makenzie Thompson, and Kynli Carlson.

Down 1–0 early, Red Oak answered with a three-run first and never looked back. Jayla King went 3-for-3 and Kaytee Hood drove in three to back Eelyn Martin’s 14-K complete game.
