The Ft. Cobb-Broxton Mustangs were looking to accomplish only one thing that Roff has done before and that is win the triple crown. These two teams were very familiar with each other with the Mustangs having beat Roff 7-4 in the fall. The Mustangs would strike first with Eli Willits stealing home from third but the Tigers would answer right back with Cade Baldridge stealing home from third and a sacrifice out to score a runner. Top of third the Tigers would score again on an RBI single from Caden Darnell but then the Mustangs would tie it with a two run RBI double from Blayke Nunn. The fourth inning would be scoreless but the fifth inning the Mustangs would have their first lead of the game on an RBI double from Blayke Nunn and in the bottom of the sixth they would crack the lead open on Nunn’s third RBI double on the day and one from Jaxon Willits, Top of the seventh the Mustangs would get another run on an RBI single from Blaine Davis as insurance and the Mustangs would hang on in the bottom of the seventh to become the first triple crown winner since Roff in 2010. Blaine Davis had a good day on the mound only allowing seven hits and also two hits and an RBI at the plate. Blayke Nunn lead the Mustangs offensively
