Hunter Sheppard has been immersed in Oklahoma high school sports coverage since graduating from Porum High School in 2018. His journey took a defining turn during the 2020–21 season, when he made his first major leap into statewide coverage by attending the Mustang Holiday Classic — a moment that lit the spark for everything that followed.
From that tournament forward, Hunter committed to documenting the full landscape of OKPreps — following state tournaments, spotlighting underdog stories, and creating a space for deep-dive features that traditional outlets often overlook.
He launched The OKPreps Rundown as a dedicated platform for columns, previews, and postseason coverage — blending stats, storytelling, and honest commentary to give athletes, coaches, and fans across the state something meaningful to follow.
