#1 Stuart vs #8 Roff

11:00am (OG&E Field)

Last Appearance: Stuart (Third consecutive since 2022) Roff (First since 2021)

Stuart’s road to state

Stuart’s road began with wins over Dover 10-0 and Mt. View-Gotebo 10-0 and 2-0 in regionals to advance to state.

We have been going since June with lifting and on your own fundamentals and hitting. These girls have put the work in and it shows in the field. We didn’t get to have districts due to a team forfeiting. Regionals was a tough one with a well coached and athletic Mt. View-Gotebo. They were definitely better than the 16 ranking they got. The week of state is always fun and exciting. The girls are pumped and really focused for the coming week. We never take it for granted making the state tournament. We know these are not always guaranteed even though your ranked #1. We have been blessed with extremely talented and hard working girls. The girls and coaches are really excited and focused on making it the last day of the season and can’t wait till Thursday said Stuart coach Jeff Parnell.

Roff’s road to state

Roff’s road began with wins over Paoli 16-0 and 21-1 in districts, Defeated Oilton 12-0 and #9 Moss 9-4, Fell to Geronimo 5-1 but bounced back 10-6 to advance to state.

Our road to the state tournament started off a little rocky this year. We started off 2-5 playing ranked teams like Soper, Stuart,Tushka and Byng. We played well but just had a few mistakes that cost us in those early games. In that stretch we went to # 1 Caney at the time and beat them at home 11-2. We then faced some ranked teams in the Tupelo Tournament at the end of that week and really played well. Beat a good Hartshorne team, lost to Wister and beat #1 Caney and #5 Moss before losing to #4 Kiowa 4-2. From that point we felt like we could play with anyone in our class. Our pitching staff is young with a freshman and a couple of sophomore’s. Our team is led by our senior 3rd baseman, Emma Hardison that is hitting .487 with 3 homers and has only stuck out four times this season said Roff coach Eric Hardison.

#4 Lookeba-Sickles vs #5 Caney

1:30pm (OG&E Field)

Lookeba-Sickles road began with wins over Geary 16-0 and 12-0 in districts, Defeated Covington-Douglas 14-4 and Kremlin-Hillsdale 8-0 and 7-1 in regionals to advance to state.

We weren’t very happy to come up short last year so we wanted to make it back and deserve to be there but also are not satisfied with just getting there. I think our team is ready to make some noise hopefully that will happen. We’ve played as tough of a schedule as anyone in any class so should have us ready said Lookeba-Sickles coach Lance Scales

Caney’s road to state

Caney’s road began with wins over Milburn 12-0 twice in districts, Defeated Achille 12-0 and Arnett 5-3, Fell to Arnett in game two 10-0 but bounced back 4-2 to advance to state.

#3 Kiowa vs #6 Soper

Kiowa’s road began with wins over Calvin 12-0 and 17-1 in districts, Defeated Tupelo 11-3, Big Pasture 9-7 and #15 Frontier 14-6 to advance to state.

We played a tremendous schedule to get us ready for this part of the season. We have seen it all! We will have 3 good days of practice this week, just getting ready for our first opponent. Getting to the state tournament is always hard and we feel very blessed to get the opportunity again said Kiowa coach Keith Quaid.

Soper’s road to state

Soper’s road began with wins over Bennington 12-0 and 15-0 in districts, Defeated Battiest 15-0 and #11 Asher 6-2 and 10-1 in regionals to advance to state.

We are currently 29-9. This group has battled all year against tough teams. Our pitcher Kobi Rice has done a great job of getting ground balls and our defense has backed her very well. We have managed to put together quality at bats throughout the season as well. We are all very excited to make the tournament! We are going to soak this week in and hopefully bring home the trophy said Soper coach Brandon Debo.

#2 Whitesboro vs #7 Leedey

6:30pm (OG&E Field)

Last Appearance: Whitesboro (First since 2022) Leedey (Second consecutive)

Whitesboro’s road to state

Whitesboro’s road began with wins over Strother 11-1, #14 Smithville 14-0 and Wilson Henryetta 12-0 to advance to state.

We have had a great season. The plan all season has been to show up every day mentally and physically ready and to not take anything for granted, and that’s a big reason why we have earned our way to be in the State Tournament. Leading into playoffs we had a focus on taking things one game at a time and being mentally where our feet are. We were excited to win the regional but our ultimate goal is to bring home some gold back to Whitesboro! said Whitesboro coach Cash Balentine.

Leedey’s road to state

Leedey’s road began with wins over Sentinel 12-0 twice in districts, Defeated Timberlake 8-6 and #10 Chattanooga 7-4 and 6-4 in regionals to advance to state.

We are 30-11. Our Regional was very competitive. We faced Chattanooga in the Regional Final for a second straight year. We beat them 7-4 and 6-4. We struggled at the beginning of the season, but closed with a 20-3 record in our last 23 games. We lost three Seniors from last season, but fully expected to back here again. We have two Freshmen in the starting lineup that have given us a boost all year. Excited to see what we can do in the tournament this year with a year of experience under our belt said Leedey coach Eric Castle.
