The State Championship is finally here and the matchups have been set. Cashion and Perry are in the state championship for the first time in school history in their respected classes. All four teams are coming into the state championship games on double digit win streaks, Washington at 12, Oktaha at 11, Cashion and Perry both at 10.

#1 Oktaha vs #3 Cashion

Saturday at Noon

Oktaha got to the championship for the first time since 2022 by defeating Sallisaw Central 10-0 and #5 Preston 10-3.

We lost our lead-off hitter , Dylan Walden, the first week of the season to a broken foot. We have had guys step up and produce in the lineup with him being out. Winning a State Champion is what we want to do every season. It means a lot to win at Oktaha. Our goal every season is to be playing for a State Championship said Oktaha coach Kevin Rodden.

I believed our team was good enough to be playing on the last day. Playing for a state championship is an experience most players do not get said Oktaha senior Maddox Edwards.

Cashion got to the championship for the first time in school history by defeating #6 Latta 11-3 and #2 Dale 2-1.

#4 Perry vs #3 Washington

Saturday at 3:00pm

Washington advanced to their third consecutive championship by defeating Silo 11-1 in the quarterfinals and Mount St. Mary 4-1 in the semifinals.

The biggest obstacle was overcoming our 2 losses in one day ! We hadn’t experienced that in awhile! Just fighting through that and coming together as a team has really fueled this run! Winning a third consecutive title would put this program in rare company! Only Tulsa Union, Carl Albert and Verdigris has done it! No 3A team has ever accomplished that feat! What it would mean to our players and community would be a sense of pride for a program that has had some success , but nothing of this magnitude! As for the beginning of the year talk , we did discuss a three-peat , but this team never let it consume them! We talk all the time about just trusting the process and trusting in each other! said Washington coach Jeff Kulbeth

I knew I would be playing today because that is what is expected out of us ever since our first practice of the year all it is is expectations we expected to be here said Washington senior Marlon Moore.

Perry got to their first state championship appearance in school history by defeating #4 Heritage Hall 1-0 in the quarterfinals and defeated #1 Salina 4-2 in the semifinals.
