Putting together 5 straight wins for the first time this season speaks a lot about this team. They were determined to fight their way to the state tournament. Our kids really bought into our game plans night in and night out which as a coach is always exciting to watch. We have a team that has different players capable of scoring and leading us in that area nightly. Our team genuinely cares about each other and put the team first. With this being the schools first State Tournament the excitement is school wide. Our team is just glad to get to keep playing together and having another chance to compete said Community Christian coach Chad Thrailkill. Jones road to the big house

Our goal each day is to be our very best, challenge each other, and to control what we can control. We feel like if we can do that, the results will take care of themselves. So the road to the BIGHOUSE for us was to just try and find consistency in what we do on a daily basis. This group has wanted to prove that they are worthy of being a state tournament team after having lost 3 all-staters and a 6th man of the year. So they do have an edge to them. This team plays extremely hard on the court and has learned that Defense really does win ball games. We are excited for this week- but will continue to do what we’ve been doing- (be the best version of ourselves on a daily basis) – and we will see where it takes us! said Jones coach Jenni Holbrook. The Lady Longhorns began their road to the big house with a bye in districts, Defeated Heritage Hall 58-17 and #14 Eufaula 53-34 in regionals and #5 Community Christian 37-26 in area to advance to the state tournament.

Reaction was great !! Tears of celebration! The road here was a little rocky at the end our leading scorer after playing Cascia Hall in district finds out she has a fractured vertebrae in her back !! So we have played from that point on with out her !! So played through some injuries and just happy to be fortunate enough to be going to the state tournament said Adair coach Scott Winfield. We are really excited to be returning to the big house. We have had a whole year to reflect and we have been eager to get another chance at the state tournament. Two years ago, we played for a gold ball. Two years later, we are ready to take one game at a time and the ultimate goal is to bring home the gold ball this year. We are a little young mixed with old. Makes for a good experience said Idabel coach Kayla Denton.
