Rebels win their sixth straight state championship

The Silo Rebels was looking to grab their sixth consecutive state championship in a row on their 11th consecutive appearance in the finals while the Amber-Pocasset Panthers was looking to win their first title in school history. Rebels defense would start off good with two strikeouts and picking off a runner at first. Bottom of the inning the Rebels would get on the board on RBI singles from Josh Trout and Sawyer Reddick. Top of second the Panthers would get a runner in on a sacrifice out giving Wyatt Hearrell the chance to score. Bottom of second the Rebels would get a run on a sacrifice out giving Kyler Proctor the chance to score. Top of the third , Tyler Shaw would get an single to score Boston Tointigh but three consecutive outs would close the inning, After a scoreless defensive stretch the Rebels would get another run on the board on an RBI double from Kyler Proctor on a fly ball to center field to score Daxter Thomas. The fifth and sixth innings would be scoreless but the Panthers would go on a rally in the top of the seventh on an RBI single from Trace Berry to score Boston Tointigh and an RBI single from Tyler Shaw to score Trace Berry but the bottom of the seventh the cards were in the Rebels favor, It would start with Connor Cordell getting a double and Easton Ford getting intentionally walked, Carter Parker’s bunt would get him on base after reaching on error which would load the bases and set up Josh Trout to get the RBI single to left field to score Connor Cordell and win the game 6-5 and the Rebels would have their sixth consecutive state championship.

Kyler Proctor started the game for the Rebels going two innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out three before Easton Ford would come in the rest of the game. Jackson Riley was on the mound for the Panthers and went six innings, allowing six runs on 11 hits and striking out one. Josh Trout and Kyler Proctor lead the Rebels at bat with multiple hits. Tyler Shaw went 1-4 at the plate to lead the Panthers at bat in hits.
