
The Shattuck Lady Indians was coming into the finals with one goal in mind and that was win a state championship, Since districts the Lady Indians had put up a combined 93 runs and counting while the Canute Lady Trojans got in the finals for the first time in school history. The Lady Indians would get the first run on a sacrifice fly that gave Josie Oakley the chance to score along with an RBI double from Abbey Elam and an RBI single from Jordi Oakley and despite a ground out at first Jordi Oakley would score from third and it would be 4-0 going into the bottom of the inning. Bottom of the inning the Lady Trojans would answer back with a two run home run from Taylor Beutler along with an RBI single from Emily Cantwell. Top of second would be back to business for the Lady Indians starting off with an RBI single from Camryn Bullard to score Mia Trenfield then four home runs to cap off the inning from Sayler Bullard, Abbey Elam, Ellery Woods and Camryn Bullard. Top of third Josie Oakley would add to the home run total with a solo homer to right field. The next couple frames would be quiet until the bottom of the fourth when Kyanne Pekley would hit a home run to left field and Taylor Beutler would have her second home run on the day this one scoring two runs, Despite Meliah DeGarmo grounding into fielder’s choice it score Madison Church from third, Top of fifth Abbey Elam would grab her second home run on the day scoring two more runs, Bottom of fifth the Lady Trojans would go three up and three down and the Lady Indians would win 19-7 and win the title for first time since 2017.
