
The Porum Panthers were looking to bounce back after a loss to Porter on Saturday while the Lions was coming off a win against Webbers Falls. The first inning both teams would be finding their rythym, Second inning the Panthers would get on the board first on a groundball from Kyle Rock to score Isaiah Sallee from first and the defense would hold in the bottom of the inning. Third inning the Panthers would score another run from Luke Johnson at third after an error at first. The Lions would get on the board in the bottom of the fourth on a home run from Kecher Bustos to center field. Fifth inning would be when the bats would get going for the Panthers as Braden Catron gets an RBI double on a line drive to left field to score Michael Wright and Luke Johnson, Isaiah Sallee would get an RBI single on a groundball to score Catron from third. Kyle Rock would score Rylind Tillery from third after a groundball scooped up for the out, Johnson would reach first base on a ground ball error and would score Gage Scarberry from third. The Panthers would put up six unanswered runs in the top of the sixth innings, The first two runs would be off walks on loaded bases, Rock would ground out again but score Catron. Waylon Dishman would get an RBI single to score Sallee and Tillery while in to pinch hit. Wright would reach first base on a groundball error at second to score Dishman and advance Johnson to third. Bottom of the sixth the Lions would get another run on the board on an RBI single from Jonathan Dillard to score Kayden Decker. Braden Catron would be in for the Panthers as a relief pitcher and he would get the two strikeouts to seal the 14-2 win for the Panthers.
Isaiah Sallee would start the game on the mound for the Panthers, He surrendered one run on one hit over four innings and striking out eight batters in the process. Braden Catron threw two innings in relief. Jonathan Dillard started the game for the Lions and surrendered two runs on four hits over four innings, striking out two and walking zero. Kalib West would throw in relief for the Lions allowing zero hits and three runs, walking none. Sallee lead the Panthers at the plate in hits going 3-3. Panthers return to action tomorrow afternoon at home against Braggs.
