
Another great Mustang Holliday Classic has come and gone and this tournament just keeps getting better and better every year. Three days of very exciting matchups and we seen eight good games all on full display.

Edmond North 62 Seiling 49 (Girls Championship)

This game would feature two of the best scoring offenses in their respected classes. The Edmond North Lady Huskies was looking to defend their title in this tournament while the Seiling Lady Wildcats was looking to make some noise in this matchup. The first and third quarters would be back and forth as both teams would go on a run and was scoring left and right and the Lady Huskies would seal the game late in the fourth. Elle Papahronis would lead all scoring for the Lady Huskies with 18 points, Allison Heathcock with 16 points and Laci Steele with 14 points, KK Peeler with eight points and Kate Melton with six points. Braci Nyberg lead all scoring for the Lady Wildcats with 16 points, Kenly Gore with 10 points, Teagan Hamar with nine points, Isabella Hammons with eight points, Aryahna Whetstone with four points, Keirstin Briggs with two points.

Putnam City North 61 Mustang 39 (Boys Championship)

This same matchup was the championship of this tournament last season and the Putnam City North Panthers was looking to take this one. The first half of the game would feature the Panthers offense on full display, The third quarter would be more of a slowed pace as they would only score eight points and it appeared the Broncos was gonna make a comeback then in the fourth quarter the Panthers offense would explode for 24 points on a huge run to seal it and win the game in a rematch of last season’s championship. CJ Smith lead all scoring for the Panthers with 23 points, KeJuan Payne with 14 points, Anthony Leonard with 13 points, Zander Baker with five points, Khai Brown, Phil Jackson and Amir Garrett all with two points. Classen SAS 38 Verdigris 34 (Third Place Girls Game)

This game would be an interesting one as both teams could play physical with the ball on defense and had some good scorers on both sides. The first quarter of the game the Verdigris Lady Cardinals would go on a run to start out but the Classen SAS Lady Comets would answer back with a run of their own in the second quarter to bring the deficit down to nine. The third quarter would be a very tight defensive battle and going into the fourth down by eight the Lady Comets would go on a run to take the lead and held the Lady Cardinals to six points as they would go on to win in a very close win. Paige Williams lead all scoring for the Lady Comets with nine points, Jaida O’Connor with seven points, Makiya Moore and Skylar Durley with six points, Amyah Sutton and Jada Toure both with five points. Morgan Borgstadt lead all scoring for the Lady Cardinals with 17 points, Kate Wigington with 11 points, Emma Young with four points, Brynlee Brown with two points

This game would feature a matchup of speed against speed and size, It would be back and fourth all throughout. A very fun matchup to watch on both sides as any time the Titans would score the Hornets would answer right back. The largest lead would be nine so it stayed close all game and the Hornets would sink a couple clutch shots and free throws in the last minute of the fourth to seal the game. Ty Holdman lead all scoring for the Hornets with 14 points, Lathan Boone with 10 points, Tre Crosslin with eight points, Marques Smith with seven points, BJ Harris with six points, Jamarri Simpson with one point. Jordan England lead all scoring for the Titans with 12 points, Jayden Mott with eight points, Casey Baker with seven points, Ryan Reynolds with six points, Quincy Hopkins with five points, Hutch Russell with two points.

This matchup would feature two teams with young but talented squads, The first half and third quarter would be fairly even scoring as both squads would be held to eight and seven respectively but the Lady Panthers would go on a run in the fourth and would lead by as many as 13 before the Lady Broncos would go on a run to cut the deficit by four but the Lady Panthers would go on to win it in a very tight finish after a couple free throws sealed the win. Nevaeh Sykes lead all scoring for the Lady Panthers with 14 points, Nini Geretta with 12 points, Alaysia Burrough and Tehlia Kutsoati with four points, Nykayia Dillard and Raya Shawareb with two points. Parker Simonsen lead all scoring for the Lady Broncos with 12 points, Cherish Haywood with 10 points, Mya Alston with five points, JahMonica Johnson with three points, Lunden Foreman and Christal Long with two points.

This game would definitely be a scorefest, First quarter would start out slow but the pace quickly picked up for both the Southmoore Sabercats and the Midwest City Bombers. The Sabercats would lead by as many as 12 going into the fourth before the Bombers answered the call with a run to cut the deficit to single digits, Fourth quarter would come down to the wire as it came down to some clutch free throws the Sabercats would hit off technical free throws or a one and one. Jesse Ledbetter lead all scoring for the Sabercats with 19 points, Ryan Guerrero with 14 points, Kolton Brammer with 12 points, Rodney Gray with nine points, Camden Stewart with five points, Kaedon Bonner with two points. Clovis East 70 Southmoore 40 (Seventh Place Girls Game)
The Clovis East Lady Timberwolves got this game going quick from the start and it would show with a big 20 point lead to open up the first quarter and would keep the momentum going throughout the game. Head Coach Garrette Mantle and his Lady Timberwolves squad would get win after a great performance. Gabby Ramos lead all scoring for the Lady Timberwolves with 23 points, Ameyah Anderson with 18 points, Kylie Ward with 16 points, Allie Madron with five points, Rajdeep Kaur and Haley Duvall both with four points. Kaydence Pettit and Keiley Mahseet both lead all scoring for the Lady Sabercats with eight points, Lydia Williams and Lexi Musick both with six points, Sofia Reyes and Briannah Wren both with four points, Alana Edwards and Raylen Kernell both with two points.

Owasso 57 Pocola 42 (Seventh Place Boys Game)
This game would feature two similar teams, Both the Pocola Indians and Owasso Rams had been plenty battle tested leading up to the tournament and both had two tough matchups the previous days. The Rams would get it going early and never look back in this one, The Indians would cut into the deficit at times in the third quarter but the Rams would answer back a run late in the fourth would seal it. Isaiah McLemore lead all scoring for the Rams with 15 points, Brandon Mann with 13 points, Boden Williams and EJ Lewis both with eight points, Anson Harbaugh with six points, MJ Milton with three points, Koen Scott and Gage Nantois both with two points. Garrett Scott lead all scoring for the Indians with 20 points, Dakota Terrell with 14 points, Brayden Hardwick and Drew Jones both with three points, Austin Hardwick with two points.
