Broncos Cruise to Senior Night Win over Huskies

The rain would not be a factor in this game as it poured down throughout as the Mustang Broncos would host the Edmond North Huskies in a week nine senior night matchup. The Broncos had pretty much locked up the two seed while the Huskies had clinched their first playoff berth since 2013.

The Broncos would get it going quick as Sooners commit Jacobe Johnson would take an 86 yard kick return to the house to go up 7-0 early on, Then the Huskies would go the distance of the field to get to the red zone but would have to settle for a 24 yard field goal from Reece McManis to make it 7-3. Broncos offense would come back out on field but then Huskies would get it back after a Huskies interception, Offense back on field but would go three and out after Broncos defense would make some big plays, Broncos special teams would once again make a great play this time with Air Force commit Keegan Bass taking a 66 yard punt return to the house to make it 14-3. Broncos later on in the quarter would get their first offensive touchdown after two back to back special teams touchdowns, Tristen Russell would find Keegan Bass for the 31 yard touchdown to make it 21-3, Huskies would drive the field and Pryce Bender would lead the charge to setup Devanor Matthews to punch it in on the goal line which would make it 21-10, Broncos offense would drive down field to start the second quarter but would settle for a field goal after the Huskies defense holds them at bay, Aiden Jordan would boot a 22 yard field goal through to make it 24-10, Later on Tristen Russell would find Bass again from 16 yards out to make it 30-10, Huskies offense would go the distance of the field to once again set up Matthews to punch it for a touchdown to make it 30-17, Broncos would go the distance to answer back this time on an Antone Prince touchdown to make 37-17, Fast forward to third quarter and Tristen Russell would dial up the long bomb as he found Jacobe Johnson for a 94 yard touchdown and make it 43-17, Antone Prince would strike again later on with a 31 yard touchdown run to make it 49-17, Tristen Russell would cap off the third quarter with a six yard QB keeper to make it 56-17. Fourth quarter would be relatively quiet as the Broncos would go on to 7-2 while the Huskies fell to 3-6.

Tristen Russell would end the night 9-14 passing for 205 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, Keegan Bass would have three receptions for 48 yards and two touchdowns with one punt return touchdown for 66 yards, Jacobe Johnson would have two receptions for 124 yards and one kickoff return for 86 yards, LeBryan Hayes would have one reception for 28 yards, Evan Rader would have one reception for six yards, Jay Bedford would have 10 carries for 70 yards, Pryce Burgess would have nine carries for 136 yards, Antone Prince would have five carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns, Bryance Sanders would have two carries for 12 yards.

Pryce Bender would end the night 25-44 passing for 232 yards and two interceptions, Sedrick Frazier would have 13 receptions for 85 yards, Braden Turner would have three receptions for 81 yards, Pierson Baker would have three receptions for 36 yards, Jonathan Sauer would have four receptions for 27 yards. Devanor Matthews would have 12 carries for 62 yards and two touchdowns with one reception for five yards, Mason Hill would have 14 carries for 57 yards, Dalton Minnick would have five carries for 24 yards.

Broncos will travel to Edmond Memorial for their regular season finale on week 10 while the Huskies will host Union.
