The game would start out scoreless for four innings in a tight defensive battle but it would be in the fourth when freshman right fielder Jesse Shuman would get an RBI double to score Lexi Meadows from third, It would be in the sixth when Aeryn Shuman and Brook Langford would seal it with two more runs and the Lady Longhorns defense would hold on to win the second consecutive state title. Emma Wilson would have 11 strikeouts on the day and only allowing four hits and didn’t allow a run in Regionals or State and would finish with two no hitters and five shutouts in the postseason
