Taking a look at the Class 3A districts this upcoming season

Football season is once again around the corner and this would be a perfect time to take a look at the districts for the upcoming season.

District 1
Kingfisher (Last season 6-5, 4th in 3A-1, Lost in first round to Plainview 48-20)
Anadarko (Last season 5-6, 3rd in 3A-1, Lost in first round to Sulphur 17-14)
Mannford (Last season 2-8, 6th in 3A-4, Did not qualify)
Metro Christian (Last season 8-4, 3rd in 2A-7, Lost in second round to Eufaula 56-21)
Mount St Mary (Last season 4-5, 5th in 3A-1, Did not qualify)
McLoud (Last season 3-7, 6th in 3A-1, Did not qualify)

Class 3A is looking to be a competitive race for the title this year, 3A-1 got even tougher this year with Metro Christian joining the district, This one will be interesting to see unfold with Kingfisher bringing back several pieces from a young team, Add two teams in Perkins-Tryon and Anadarko to the mix with a Mount. St Mary team that’s heading in the right direction and you got yourself what looks to be a competitive district. 3A-2 will be an interesting race for the top with both Plainview and Heritage Hall bringing back many key pieces from last year add two more tradition rich teams in Lone Grove and Sulphur with a Marlow team returning to 3A after winning a state title in 2A and you have what looks to be a fight to the finish. 3A-3 has been an interesting one to say the least, Lincoln Christian on paper looks to be the team to beat but you have a Stigler and Seminole team that was young last year that will look to take the next step along with Berryhill and Checotah in the mix as well. 3A-4 right now appears to be wide open, Verdigris brings back many key pieces and you have two teams in Bristow and Cascia Hall coming in that have tradition a long history of playoff success, Holland Hall will be young but will be in the mix
