Football season is once again around the corner and this would be a perfect time to take a look at the districts for the upcoming season.

I can tell you first hand B-1 and C-1 will still be stacked this year, These two districts are tough year in and year out, Last year alone all four B-1 teams made a deep run with Seiling making it to the quarterfinals as a four seed, Shattuck making to the semifinals as a three seed and of course the championship was Laverne and Balko-Forgan, C-1 got even tougher with Timberlake and Medford making a return to the district, The district alone has two teams in Waynoka and Tyrone that made deep runs last year as well as Boise City who reached the quarterfinal round. B-2 and B-3 are in a similar situation, You look at B-2 and you have a Garber team that was really young last year that’s on the rise as well as OK Bible Academy then you have a Ringwood team who has a lot returning with two teams in Cherokee and Pond Creek-Hunter who have a lot of tradition going way back, Looking at B-3 and this one will be interesting to see unfold with Seiling bringing most everything back along with young teams on the rise with Covington-Douglas, Okeene and SW Covenant. C-2 I see Tipton controlling their destiny here but I could see Mt. View-Gotebo making things interesting here, They’ll be young but they have some solid pieces returning. B-4 I see Velma-Alma controlling their destiny but you also have a couple teams in Waurika and Alex who was young last year but appear to be trending upward as well as Cyril and Wilson. C-3 for the most part is pretty wide open, On paper it appears to be between Coyle and Wesleyan Christian but the district overall is wide open. B-5 I see Dewar controlling their destiny here but the other three spots will be wide open, This district will be interesting with Caddo and Webbers Falls in the picture, I could also see Midway, Porum and Quinton in a contend mode, Overall the 2-4 seeds in this one is gonna come down to the last game and I would not be surprised if tiebreaker by points comes into play. Maysville appears to be the favorite in C-4 but the rest is wide open and it’s gonna be interesting to see it unfold. B-6 might be a wait and see type situation, On paper it could be Keota and Arkoma but I’ve been looking at this one quite a bit and there are a few different scenarios for how this district could go. B-7 I think is between Regent Prep and Pioneer- Pleasant Vale but I could see Barnsdall or Yale making some noise here with both teams bringing back a few piece here and there. B-8 on paper is Davenport but I could see Wetumka and Weleetka making some noise here with these three teams having a bit of tradition.
