Frontier hires Collins as new girls basketball coach

The Frontier Lady Mustangs have their new coach.

Jason Collins was announced as the new Frontier coach yesterday afternoon. He was last at Ponca City as an assistant and his last head coaching stop was at Fairview. He has also had stops at Copan, Deer Creek-Lamont and Cherokee and coached collegiately at Oklahoma Wesleyan University where he also played basketball and golf, His greatest achievement stated in an interview with a Frontier writer was guiding Copan to the Class A State Semifinals in 2012, He takes over a Lady Mustangs squad that went 19-5 this year and brings back a big part of their roster and they will look to make it back to State for first time since 2019.
